My latest project

So floors are almost complete! Woohoo! Just need one transition piece on the stairs. Of course if you read anything anywhere i am, i have been boo hooing about my camera for a long time and guess it is in need of a burial (key sad music here) now on to the happy times (key little girl skipping down the street with sesame street song in background) this is what i am looking at purchasing....

Back to normal?

what exactly is considered normal for me? not sure but i think that in itself is normal! Watching the Corpse Bride with the kids again and yes they love it and don't think its scary at all so yep- i let them watch it. Jim didn't get in until late afternoon on Friday due to 2 flight cancellations but we're happy now that he has finally arrived. Great time on Saturday cropping with the gals but i couldn't hang too long-hit the bed at around 11 completely exhausted. We also had some laminate wood flooring installed this weekend and it really is gorgeous. I'll try to take a few shots of it and post soon-the camera is still insane so im searching for something new since with every batch the photos are now being corrupted AARGH! and im done. Hope everyone is ready for a great week 'cause i sure am! Have a wonderful one!

Overwhelm doesn't cover it

I have been in overdrive and overwhelm this week with current activities and everything that is coming up but.....i will not let it defeat me anymore-BOO YA! Now random dancing, I mean ramblings (Don't make fun of me 'cause i'm an icarly fan)

Very excited for Jim coming home tomorrow 

1. to see his sweet face and hug him to pieces

2. to sleep for a full day

my crazy Mom fell at a Mardi Gras parade on Sunday and broke her arm. told her she shouldn't have been partying so much-yeah right-she was going to the bathroom in a hurry!

got a ton of half completed layouts and ideas for books done-woop woop! i had a creative burst and my neglected house is proof but oh well

product is coming in my house in droves and im rolling in it and smooching all the cool goodies. u don't mind my drool on it do you?

need to plan my Ranger U trip but waiting on hunny bunches to give me his continental one pass info-or at least the ones that work (sorry hon, total bust on the ones you gave me)

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!

What an amazing game! Tears came flowing after I realized we were actually going to win-notice I say "we" though I've had nothing to do with it, of course but my family and I have been fans from day one. Through the paper bags on the heads, through the "Aints", through the owner trying to sell the team, through all the cracks and jokes made about the team-we were there. My Mom even broke her arm on the way to a game once and wouldn't let my Dad take her to the emergency room until AFTER the game. The Doctors looked at him like he was a mean husband making her sit through the game first but he exclaimed "It was her!" Wish I could have been there with Nina but maybe when the Superbowl comes to New Orleans in a few years you might see me up on the big screen!

Ya know I'll be cheering for my boys today! What an amazing year-they call me the breeze baby! I hear it is truly chaos down in the quarter and all over-worse than Mardi Gras! My family & friends are beside themselves and I sure feel like a million miles away today. Sure that there is a lot of red beans and rice and Popeyes chicken going around! Good thing we have one not to far from us now! Gotta have my Popeyes! Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints, who dat? who dat? GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pay it Forward

The coolest thing happened to me and the kids at dinner at Chili's tonight. An anonymous patron picked up our bill. I was so blown away; talk about renew my faith in humanity and just when I truly had my doubts. God always sends a way, doesn't he? Sometimes its obvious and others you really have to search. I hope i shall always keep my eyes open to see the good that there is even if i might have to look under a rock. Hope this inspires you to do a random act for a stranger. i know it has my brain ticking......tick tick tick (so nice it's put my biological clock in the background!) hee hee

My heart is overflowing with sadness for some friends of mine, Sonda & Duane Tadlock. Diana and I attended their daughter Baylee's service yesterday to celebrate her healing. Please take a minute to think of this family in your prayers whenever you can. Here is Baylee's obituary. I have also included a link to a wonderful place loved dearly by Baylee. There is a darling slideshow of her. Project Ride helps special needs children & adults in so many ways and the family has set up a fund in memory of her for donations. I'm happy to have met Baylee twice and as a business that has the opportunity to give back to charities, we will donate our next quarter in Baylee's honor for Project Ride. God Bless you sweety!

At the age of 13, Baylee peacefully passed away in her mothers arms at home.  Baylee loved Ariel and riding horses at Project Ride.  Baylee is survived by her Mother Cassonda, Father Duane, Grandparents Mel & Juanita Tadlock, Shirley (Jim) Carter-Gill, Mike (Glenda) Carter, Dennis & Geneva Fredricks, Aunts & Uncles Kim Tadlock, Becky (Scott) Hadaway, Nicole (Jim) Rauline, Crystal (Brad) Langston, Bonnie Sareeram, numerous Great Aunts & Uncles and numerous cousins. A celebration of her life is planned at First Baptist Church of Elk Grove on 01-30-10 at 2pm (8939 East Stockton Blvd. Elk Grove, CA, 95624).  Please dress in your favorite Disney shirt (or casual).  Law Enforcement and Military personnel are welcome to wear their uniform of the day.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Baylee Rose Tadlock Scholarship fund for Project Ride.
